What are Athletic Trainers?NATA_Logo_AT_Blue

Facility and Clinical Hours

The fully renovated Athletic Training Room (ATR) is located within Miller Pavilion near the main entrance. The clinical hours for evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation vary. The ATR typically opens at 12:30 p.m. and stays open until the end of the athletic activities each weekday. However, there are times that the ATR closes due to practice coverages and athletic contests. Our athletic training staff provide medical services at all of our Miller home games.

Responsibilities of Athletes and Parent(s) of Athletes

  • Inform the Athletic Trainer of ALL injuries that occur during the season, whether or not the injury happened while participating in the sport. This is essential in the recovery process.
  • Inform the Athletic Trainer of ALL doctor visits regarding injury and return to participation.
  • Provide the Athletic Trainer with a written note from ALL doctor visits.  Documentation of an athlete’s injury and return to participation guidelines aids in communication between the physician and AT. In some cases the athlete will not be allowed to return to participation without a note from the physician.
